While trying to fill this week’s selections out, I just plain ran out so this one is all my own creation. The combo of peach and raspberry is a common one because of the sweet/tart contrast; I didn’t just pull that out of thin air. I wanted to try a banana-free smoothie this morning, too. I did do a tentative search for a recipe to match but eventually just gave up and decided to wing it.
Here’s my take:
2 medium peaches (fresh, diced)
1/2 cup raspberries (frozen)
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup yogurt (I used honey flavoured Greek yogurt)
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp ground chia seeds
Even with the honey and yogurt, the raspberries really stand out in this recipe but it wasn’t too tart for me. The smoothie is also a beautiful dark pink shade so it’s pretty! Bonus!
