This week, I am on Vacation but there’s been lots of busy work and lots of transit — getting Kiddo to school, etc. In the normal run of things, I will accompany her as far as her stop where she will need to get off the bus. Today we attempted that — and she missed the stop (didn’t get to the door in time — ooops!) but she got off at the next stop and walked back — Yay! I continued on to campus (to see what time I might actually get there) and then went to take photos for the Grid — back to the Uplands area.
My camera battery died long before I was done so the remainder of the photos I took were on my iPhone. Then I just kept walking… I stopped part way to have a coffee but ended up walking from Midland Rd in the Uplands to the Yates and Quadra area — about 5.6 km (3.5 miles). Not the longest walk I’ve done but longer than I usually do. It was a beautiful day and not a difficult walk, especially with the coffee break midway.
I felt much better for the walk. Rested, head cleared. I didn’t realize how cluttered my head was — I think it’s why I haven’t been blogging as much even though I’ve spent hours in front of the computer.
I have to remember the power of shutting off tech and walking it out. It’s always the right thing to do.
