It’s after 9 am here and it’s just me and the cats awake right now (in fact, I think it’s just me and one of the cats). Hubby is sleeping off his celebration and Kiddo is sleeping off being rather over-wound (she had a meltdown at midnight because we missed the count-down).
As New Year celebrations go, it was a comfortable, low-key celebration where the noisiest celebrants were the children. Our Kiddo is the oldest among our friends’ kids by a couple of years and I often worry that she is playing too rough until I watch the kids and realize she takes a lot of lumps from the others. At any rate, we rang in the New Year on Eastern Time at 9 p.m. which is why we were just pulling into our driveway at midnight in time to hear our neighbours whooping it up and precipitating the mega-meltdown over a missed countdown. Sigh.
Today, I embark on my 11for11 project. First up I have to research what is involved in getting a specific ISBN for our e-book, finish the markup for the text-only edition, and publish it (it’ll be going out on Smashwords in multiple formats). There are other parts to this first project of the 11for11 but getting past that first hurdle is the big one. My plan for the year is that I will allot a certain amount of time each week for project work and I will not start any new projects until my 11 are done. That’s as close to a resolution as you’ll get out of me.
