Someone tweeted today that it was only 98 days to Christmas — as I type it has rolled over to 97. Normally, I’d be all dismissive about such a post but this year I vowed to handmake some gifts — at least one gift for each person on my list (which is at least 15 names long) — and I started to do the math then panicked.
Of course it will just take some planning — I won’t be making any large-scale items but I can make smaller things like these:
- half-aprons (great way to use up my fabric stash)
- tea cozies (knit or sewn?)
- placemats (more fabric stash busting)
- blank books (or not-so blank, perhaps)
- candles (stash-busting again — I even have candle molds!)
- chocolates (I have molds for those too — or I could make truffles. Mmmm.)
… and so on. Guess I’d better get started, clock’s-a-ticking!
