I just lost an hour of my evening to Zuma again. I hadn’t played it since the upgrade of our PS3 nuked the copy we had there… but then, PopCap went ahead and offered a free download to newsletter subscribers as a Thanksgiving or Black Friday or Cyber Monday gift. Sigh. (This is not an affiliate link; I get no coin for sharing… I am just sharing the procrastinatory love. It’s good until tomorrow even for brand new subscribers.)
In other news, holy moley have I been both busy and also lazy. Contradictory? Not in my world.
I had Thursday and Friday off work but spent a good chunk of that time doing Important Things. I ran intervention at the child’s school (her desk was so messy she couldn’t find her homework. Among the things taking up space? Rocks. I told her Mother Nature’s Bounty was expected to remain outside until further notice), I took the cat to the vet, and I attended an Elevator Speech Workshop with Mike. (BTW, this is a workshop I highly recommend, led by Sarah Daviau at Piece of Cake Communications.) That was just Thursday!
I also crammed in writing, business meetings, a friend’s daughter’s birthday party, shopping, housework, and crafting! Oh, and I baked two apple pies to go with our Second Thanksgiving (we have been doing two Thanksgivings a year for a while now because (a) we love turkey dinner (vegetarian Kiddo got a stuffed turk’y thingy) and (b) we have a lot to be thankful for). Mike cooked the turkey — he brined it and then coated it with a jerk rub. Very yummy.
Now I just have to resist Zuma until I get through my ToDo list for the evening — including posting the latest Those DeWolfes Podcast, Episode 11: Ill Communication, aiming for another 1000 words or so on Undead, doing some paperwork, and maybe (just maybe) some more crafting. Wish me luck!
