That’s what it took to go from this:

I did some other sorting in another area of the basement too, but the big focus was the craftsplosion area. I vacuumed as I went, and took a few short breaks (coffee, meals, retrieval of Kiddo from school, and a very welcome DQ Peanut Buster Parfait at the 9 hour mark), and just kept at it. I did conscript Kiddo for a couple of hours but it was actually easier to work on my own.
Along with having two clean and accessible craft spaces (Mike’s area is yet-to-be-tackled; we need to build some shelving first), turning the deep freeze and shelving on the other side so that they line the wall instead of create one has opened up the space significantly. Another bonus? We can access our bookshelves again without having to excavate.
And, since I did it today, I can enjoy the rest of my week off. Hurrah for me!

Looks great! Now enjoy the rest of your week off!
