Creating

Already, April seems to be a month for creating.

First, I pledged to take part in the Not Without Poetry: Poem-a-day challenge — I jotted down a haiku yesterday and whipped one up tonight, to catch up. I suspect I will not be posting my poems every day (especially haiku) but do pledge to write them daily. Here are first two:

April1:

NASA Headline reads:
Life found on moon of Saturn!
Happy April Fools’

April2:

a poem a day
challenging but do-able
haiku is my crutch

Today was also day 1 of our Purpose Party/Retreat — more to come on that after day 2, tomorrow– we spent the whole day thinking about and talking about creating. Our homework tonight was to create something following the structure we have been learning; I made a layered felt pin:

I was trying to make a pin that evoked the Google Maps marker (the upside-down teardrop) and I think it does, even though the colours are wildly different.

Coming up later this month is Easter and I plan to create something for Kiddo ๐Ÿ™‚ Plus while we’re on the topic of creating things, there is MUCH gardening to be done and there’s more work to be done on the shed (if the weather ever turns!!) So I expect it will be a busy but hopefully productive month.
