1. Invitation:
I heard about Iconocraft last month — somehow I missed last year’s show altogether — so I flagged the event on Facebook and gave Mike the heads up that I wanted to attend. Then one of the coordinators put out a call for volunteers via Twitter and I figured I could pitch in. I got a reply right away that they were still scheduling and then a few days later got confirmation that included this,
“You’ll be running our DIY craft table – basically we’ve compiled a bunch of random craft supplies and people can make their own crafts – total freedom. We need someone friendly and crafty to help people at the table – you!”
Sounds like fun! There’s lots more going on (Paper Vinny has a good rundown on his blog). If you’re not otherwise busy tomorrow night, come by and say “hi” — and make something!
